Data

• Customized demographic reports, as well as information on workforce availability.

Site Selection

• EDC will provide Real Estate information for available properties in Fresno County that meet your requirements. We can also coordinate tours of proposed sites and provide information on all incentives available in the County.

Hiring

• If a company is seeking new hires, EDC will refer the client to a coalition of placement agencies for recruiting, screening, and interviewing services.
  

Workforce Training

• Coordination with local and state employee training programs, including the Employment Training Panel, Customized Training, and On-the-Job Training reimbursements.

Permitting & Regulation

• EDC works closely with local jurisdictions to coordinate consistency and clarity for companies pursuing permits. We also provide assistance in working with agencies such as the California EPA, San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District, Fresno Metro Flood Control District, and others. We also facilitate efforts to overcome bureaucratic roadblocks.

Financing

• Referrals to agencies for assistance with Industrial Development Bonds, loan guarantees, direct financing, local development funds, grants, micro-loan programs and SBA loan packages.

• Coordination of rate analysis for water, sewer, gas, and electric-based on company usage and projected growth.

• EDC has created a retention and expansion program called the BEAR Action Network. The prime directive of the program is to enhance the stability and growth of existing businesses which will result in job creation and capital investment.

• EDC is able to create a customized calculation of the total value of economic incentives available in Fresno County. This would provide the client with an accurate monetary figure based on utilization of the available incentive programs.
